Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our Platform and Technology teams. Your mission is to help make our Platform and Technology teams the best in Fintech.

Your work will be framed by three core questions:

  • Requirements Gathering: Do engineers and stakeholders have all the information and knowledge needed to deliver value for our customers?
  • Delivery: What can be done to identify and remove all impediments faced by the teams in delivering value for our customers? What metrics will support the team to make incremental improvements to their ways of working? Do stakeholders have visibility over the delivery information they need?
  • Agile & Lean Practices: How can we ensure a culture of continuous learning in agile and lean practices, so the team becomes more engaged, effective, and efficient?

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering

  • Understand and address impediments affecting engineers’ ability to deliver value quickly and sustainably for our customers.
  • Support engineers and stakeholders in gathering requirements for developer workflows and tooling.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Ensure requirements are sufficiently detailed for sprint planning, including both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Clearly define the definition of ready and definition of done.

Delivery

  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager and Product Manager to gather detailed requirements for new features and products to be delivered by the Platform and Technology teams.
  • Facilitate (rather than directly perform) the process of turning requirements (epics) into user stories and tasks with clear acceptance criteria, in partnership with Dev Leads and engineering teams, as appropriate for the TPM role.
  • Improve flow efficiency and proactively unblock the scrum team during sprints.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and reporting of operational delivery metrics.

Program Management

  • Lead program management of key technology and business roadmap initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and successful delivery of strategic projects.

Agile & Lean Practices

  • Facilitate standard agile ceremonies.
  • Suggest improvements to agile ways of working to increase productivity and employee engagement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement in agile and lean practices.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
