The AVP, Technology Solutions is responsible for leading the strategy, architecture, and delivery of technology solutions that enable business growth and operational excellence. This role combines executive leadership with hands-on technical engagement, including architecture oversight, solution design, and evaluation of emerging technologies to ensure scalable, resilient, and future-ready platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Transformation
Define and execute a multi-year technology strategy aligned with business priorities
Lead large-scale modernization and transformation initiatives
Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform evolution
Hands-On Technical Leadership & Architecture
Provide hands-on technical leadership, actively guiding design decisions, architecture reviews, and critical solution trade-offs
Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture teams to define and govern target state architecture across application, integration, data, and cloud platforms
Lead architecture forums and ensure alignment with enterprise standards
Drive engineering excellence through scalability, reusability, and performance optimization
Technology Evaluation & Innovation
Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and tools
Lead technology selection decisions including build vs buy
Drive adoption of AI, automation, and advanced analytics
Continuously modernize the technology stack
Technology Delivery & Platform Ownership
Own end-to-end delivery and lifecycle of enterprise platforms
Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and resilient
Drive outcome-based delivery across teams
Financial & Operational Accountability
Manage IT spend across labor, vendors, and platforms
Optimize cost and delivery efficiency
Leadership & Talent Development
Lead high-performing engineering and architecture teams
Develop strong technical leadership bench
Foster a culture of innovation and accountability
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Partner with business and enterprise leaders
Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
Manage strategic vendor relationships
Experience
15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience
8+ years leading large, complex teams
Experience in architecture leadership and modernization initiatives
Technical Expertise
Expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud, and distributed systems
Experience with solution design and technology evaluation
Experience with AI, automation, and data platforms
Leadership Capabilities
Ability to lead transformation and change
Strong executive communication skills
Ability to influence and drive alignment
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Location
Onsite a minimum of 3 days a week in one of the following locations: Frisco, TX, Louisville, KY or Nashville, TN
