Offsite Compliance Pharmacist
Overview:
Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Essential Functions:
- Maintains strong understanding of regulatory and compliance standards associated with State Board of Pharmacy, federal agencies, and accreditation groups.
- Completes audits at outlined frequencies to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including maintenance of accurate documentation.
- Establishes relationships with license holders to share results of audits and identify and resolve concerns related to the medication use process (ordering, storage, administration, documentation).
- Reviews and summarizes rule and regulation proposals from the State Board of Pharmacy and other state and federal agencies to ensure NCH’s ability to provide verbal and written feedback on pending and issued changes.
Education Requirement:
Doctor of Pharmacy, required. Candidates who have been licensed and practicing as a pharmacist since before 2004 may qualify with a bachelor’s degree.
Licensure Requirement:
Current and unrestricted licensure or licensure eligibility to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio, required.

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience, preferred.
- Experience with compliance, regulatory, and legal practice of Pharmacy, preferred.
