Sr Manager, Product Mgmt Tech, Marketplace Recruitment & Dev
Define and drive the strategy, execution, and product roadmap for seller engagement/productivity at Amazon JP Marketplace, one of the largest and fastest growing business domains in Amazon Stores. This role will define how we engage with hundreds of thousands of Sellers at scale — through AI self-service channels and mass marketing channels — with the objective to grow Sellers' businesses on Amazon through AI, automation, and Science models that prioritize and personalize the right growth opportunities for the right Sellers.

Key job responsibilities
· Develop the strategy and initiatives to maximize Seller engagement across AI self-service and mass marketing channels, and present to senior executives.
· Develop the strategy and products for deciding which Sellers to engage, with which growth opportunities, through which channels, and in what order.
· Drive seller engagement outcomes by partnering with Marketing teams and channel owners—defining engagement strategies, and ensuring alignment on priorities—while leveraging tools and platforms to measure and optimize results.
· Build product roadmaps for AI products and Science models that automate, prioritize, and personalize Seller engagement, and drive those products from concept through delivery.
· Work with Tech, Science, and Marketing teams to build and deploy AI-powered solutions, automation, and Science models that drive Seller growth.
· Demonstrate thought leadership in AI innovation rather than just executing given requirements.
· Learn and share best practices with teams outside of Japan. If the US/EU are achieving good results, you will be responsible for learning what is working and replicating it in Japan. If Japan achieves good results, you are expected to share our best practices and insights with other regions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of overall experience in Product Management, Technology, or related fields, including 3+ years of experience building and launching AI-powered products or leveraging Science models at scale
- Strong understanding of latest AI concepts, including large language models and Generative AI, and their practical applications to scaled engagement and personalization
- Experience building and launching products that operate at scale across large customer/user bases
- Experience with marketing technology, CRM, or scaled engagement platforms is a plus
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills across Science, Tech, Product, Marketing, Business, and Operations teams
- Strong ability to influence global teams and product/dev teams across a large organization
- 5+ years of people management experience, including management of large, layered, multi-functional teams
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international business environment
- Experience providing strategic updates/proposals to senior executives (both verbal and written)
- Business level English (both verbal and written) required- PhD or MS in Computer Science, AI/ML, Business, or related field from a top tier program
- Experience with scaled marketing, personalization systems, or recommendation engines
- Japanese language skill preferred
