Product Manager II, Wear OS

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As a Product Manager for Wear Platform, you will work in a cross-functional team, focusing on the overall success of the platform, working closely with director-level leads and other senior engineers.

You will lead critical elements of Wear Platform Experience so as to platform-ize them, and thus enable the next (scaled) wave of devices. You will define a goal for each of these critical functions, build great new experiences for users and really land positive Health and Wellbeing outcomes.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of Technical Product Management experience (i.e. creating product roadmap(s) from conception to launch and working with cross-functional teams).
  • Experience developing Internet products and technologies.
  • Experience driving the product goals, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions.
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following areas: Android OS, wearables, power optimization, MCU architectures, widgets.
