Deposits and Cash Management Product Associate

The Deposits and Cash Management Team designs, delivers, and maintains products and services across Morgan Stanley, Digital Direct, and MS@Work channels and platforms to help clients manage their cash needs from transactional cash (e.g., Bank Checking) to cash saved for a specific purpose (e.g., Savings) as well as cash as part of a strategic portfolio allocation (e.g., Certificates of Deposit). The team also oversees banking services that support deposit products and cash management (e.g., debit cards, check writing).
Deposit & Cash Management is seeking an Associate to join the product management team reporting to the Shared Bank Services Program Manager. The Associate will help the team optimize many of the foundational experiences and processes across deposit products from account opening through to closure and to grow and manage the host of deposit products offered by Morgan Stanley Private Bank. To help meet the Firm’s goals in growing balances across these channels, this role will consist of a mix of Project Management responsibilities, reporting, data analytics, and research. The Associate will also execute product initiatives in collaboration with internal and external functional partners and execute routine product management functions. In this role there are tremendous opportunities to learn the fundamentals of banking, work with the team on product development and refinement, present to and be recognized by senior-level management while partnering across Morgan Stanley. Responsibilities:
- Support in the management and launch of Morgan Stanley Deposit Products delivered through the Advised or Self-Directed channel
- Project management of new products and/or initiatives from pilot through launch, including assisting with the implementation of our project plan and strategy.
- Provide data & analytics and maintain documentation for new products/initiatives
- Maintain and update policies and procedures as needed to accurately reflect changes and enhancements to Deposit Products
- Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Audit on an ongoing and project-based basis to ensure adherence to rules, regulations and heightened standards
- Track financial performance and develop key performance metrics
- Analyze competitive strategies across the industry
- Prepare analyses and financial forecasts for Senior Management
- Assist in managing project plans with deliverables that span across functional teams with representatives from IT, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Business, Finance as well as External Vendors, to launch and implement new initiatives
Experience
- 2-3 years of professional experience
- Wealth Management and/or project management experience is a plus
- General knowledge of retail and private banking products
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting
Skills/Abilities
- Strong analytical & critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $58,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
