Group Product Manager, Adyen India

As the Group Product Manager for India, you will be a pivotal member of the Adyen India Leadership Team. You will define and execute the product strategy for one of Adyen’s highest-growth regions, ensuring our merchants can expand their reach through locally preferred and innovative payment methods.

This role sits within the global Payments Group. You will collaborate closely with the India Country Head, the Head of Engineering, and global product groups to build the payment engine of the future. You are not just a strategist; you act as the external face of Adyen’s holistic product innovation, engaging with regulators, industry bodies, and C-level executives at the leading merchants to shape the future of the Indian fintech landscape.

What you will do

  • Formulate and lead a strategic vision that balances technical acquiring capabilities (eg. Cards, UPI) with the end-to-end merchant experience, ensuring our solutions solve real-world customer problems rather than just meeting technical requirements.
  • You will act as the owner for the India product suite, moving beyond technical delivery to partner with our GTM teams to ensure the commercial viability and market fit of our entire offering. This includes partnering with commercial leaders to understand merchant pain points holistically—from onboarding and pricing to support and retention, ensuring Adyen’s value proposition is seamless across all touchpoints.
  • Serve as the domain expert for the Indian market, identifying new acquiring capabilities and navigating complex regulatory requirements.
  • Work with engineering on resource planning and execution, balancing high-stakes performance and scalability with the rollout of new features.
  • You will build and lead a team of product managers focused on product development for Adyen India, both in your specific areas and with a strong focus on cross-team and solution synergies across Adyen globally.
  • You will work across Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Product teams and closely collaborate with commercial teams such as Sales/AMs, and Product Marketing.
  • You combine strategic leadership with a willingness to dive into the details when needed, taking end-to-end ownership to drive clarity in scope, priorities, and requirements

Who you are

  • 15+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of shipping high-quality products at scale. Experience in the Indian fintech or financial services sector is preferred.
  • You have autonomously delivered impact by leading and leveraging a portfolio of product managers across product areas.
  • You are effective in finding, growing, leading and retaining talent in product management (5+ years of management experience)
  • You possess a "founder’s mentality," and are comfortable operating at the intersection of product, sales, and operations, and you use data-driven insights to make high-stakes trade-offs that benefit the long-term health of Adyen’s merchant customers.
  • Deep knowledge of the Indian payments ecosystem, including card schemes, UPI, digital wallets, and local "money flow" regulations.
  • Proven ability to translate complex merchant needs into a comprehensive product roadmap that creates a "multiplier effect" across the business, driving both top-line growth and operational efficiency.
  • You succeed in creating a multiplier effect, in connecting with other leaders on opportunities and scaling impactful ways of working.
  • Ability to guide cross-functional teams using analytics to not only drive product decisions but also to quantify the business value and ROI of our localized offerings.
  • Action-Oriented: A relentless bias toward action and tangible outcomes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • You have solid and inspiring communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders as well as the teams working on and contributing to Adyen India.
  • You love to act as a mentor and help guide talent to make optimal decisions.
