Fandom is growing! Our Sr Product Manager 2, Brand Safety & Compliance opportunity is a remote role within our Monetization organization, reporting to the Director of Product Management.
Fandom reaches over 350 million monthly fans, creating a unique opportunity to build monetization products that balance advertiser performance, user experience, and marketplace trust at scale. As a senior product leader within Monetization, you will define and drive strategy for brand safety, compliance, and marketplace integrity across Fandom’s advertising ecosystem.
In this role, you will own the vision, roadmap, and execution for products and systems that improve ad brand safety and monetization efficiency while ensuring compliance with platform policies, privacy requirements, and advertiser expectations.
You will work at the intersection of advertising technology, marketplace optimization, compliance, and user experience—building systems that help Fandom intelligently manage inventory quality.
You will lead highly cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Engineering, Data Science, Ad Operations, Revenue Operations, Privacy, and Sales. Your work will directly impact revenue growth, advertiser trust, platform health, and long-term monetization scalability.

You Will...
Define and drive brand safety product strategy
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for brand safety and compliance systems across Fandom’s monetization ecosystem.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory quality while balancing monetization and privacy policy.
- Build strategic frameworks that optimize ad layout decisions, inventory packaging, and monetization quality signals.
- Define long-term strategies for marketplace quality, advertiser trust, and inventory governance.
Lead complex cross-functional initiatives
- Lead large-scale cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Engineering, Data Science, Ad Operations, Revenue, Privacy, and Legal.
- Drive alignment across stakeholders to launch scalable brand safety and compliance capabilities.
- Operate as a senior product leader bridging technical platform teams and business stakeholders.
Build brand safety and compliance platforms
- Build and scale systems for monitoring and optimizing:
- Policy compliance
- Brand safety and marketplace quality signals
- Develop tooling for inventory scoring, compliance monitoring, remediation workflows, and operational visibility.
- Partner with Engineering and Data Science to build predictive models and quality frameworks that inform monetization decisions.
Drive data-informed monetization and quality decisions
- Leverage experimentation, analytics, and machine learning to optimize inventory performance and marketplace quality.
- Build frameworks to intelligently balance revenue tradeoffs between impressions, viewability, and user experience.
- Launch monetization capabilities that improve advertiser outcomes while reducing compliance risk.
- Identify opportunities to improve monetization efficiency by packaging, prioritizing, or suppressing lower-quality inventory.
You Have...
- 6–10+ years of product management experience, ideally within advertising, marketing technology, CRM platforms, or consumer engagement products.
- Deep domain expertise in programmatic advertising, publisher monetization, and brand safety concepts.
- Strong understanding of:
- Google Ad Manager
- Prebid / header bidding
- SSP/DSP ecosystem
- OpenRTB and bidstream concepts
- Experience working on products related to:
- Invalid traffic/fraud detection
- Brand safety
- Compliance or policy enforcement
- Proven ability to define strategy and lead highly complex cross-functional initiatives with executive visibility.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using experimentation, forecasting, and operational data to inform product decisions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to independently drive initiatives from ambiguous problem spaces through execution.

- Experience working in ad-supported consumer platforms or digital media companies.
- Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs), identity systems, or audience data products.
- Experience building advertising products leveraging first-party data.
- Understanding of privacy regulations and consent frameworks impacting audience data and marketing technologies.
