Senior Product Manager - Integration Testing & Enablement

Adyen · San Francisco

This is Adyen

Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition.

For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who is passionate about driving the end-to-end testing experience for Adyen's global merchant base. Your team sits at the crossroads of quality of merchant’s integrations with Adyen, pre-live signaling, and testing capabilities and ensures that every merchant can validate their integration with confidence before going live.

Today, your primary focus will be on payments simulation, a deeply complex domain spanning hundreds of payment methods across global markets, each with unique flows and behaviors. However, the scope of this role will rapidly expand to defining the product strategy for a holistic testing suite covering the entire Adyen platform covering not only payments but also Financial products, Uplift, Loyalty, Giving etc.

You aren't just building test tooling; you are transforming a fragmented testing environment into a seamless, unified platform that gives merchants confidence to go live, faster and with higher quality integrations. Your mission spans the full testing lifecycle: from simulators and automated go-live validation to developer sandboxes, debugging tools, and AI-ready test suites.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Strategy: Define how merchants get confidence to go live on Adyen. Drive testability, accelerated feedback loops, and prescriptive guidance delivered through tools that are as useful to AI coding agents as they are to human developers.
  • Lead Payments Simulation: Own the simulation platform that enables merchants to test payment flows end-to-end without requiring live connections. Navigate the inherent complexity of global payment methods, balancing coverage breadth with per-method accuracy across regions.
  • Expand Beyond Payments: Extend testing capabilities so merchants can validate their full integration — not just payments, but across financial products, Uplift, Loyalty, and Giving.
  • Drive Adoption Across Teams: Influence multiple product teams across regions to contribute to and adopt shared testing infrastructure. Align stakeholders from engineering, operations, and commercial teams around shared outcomes.
  • Consolidate and Simplify: Unify a fragmented landscape of testing tools into a coherent, self-service experience. Lead deprecation of legacy solutions with clear timelines and merchant communication.
  • Pioneer AI-Native Testing: Shape how AI agents and automated tools interact with our testing infrastructure. Ensure our platform is machine-readable and developer-tooling friendly, enabling the next generation of integration workflows.
  • Build the Full Testing Journey: Progressively deliver automated go-live validation, on-demand developer sandboxes, and workflow guidance that takes merchants from sign-up to production with minimal friction.

What You Need to Succeed

  • DevX Product Leadership: 8+ years of product experience, with significant time on platform or infrastructure products that serve both internal teams and/or external developers.
  • AI-Curious: You proactively discover and implement novel solutions leveraging Agentic AI. You challenge conventional limitations and extend your impact beyond the typical boundaries of product management.
  • Platform & API Thinking: Proven track record building developer tooling and/or API-first platforms at scale. You intuitively understand the tension between generic scalable solutions and purpose-built specific ones, and you know when to choose each.
  • Cross-Team Adoption & Stakeholder Management: Proven experience driving adoption of shared platforms across multiple product teams with competing roadmaps. You align diverse stakeholders (from regional product teams to operations, support, and senior leadership) and hold them accountable to shared outcomes without direct authority.
  • Analytical Rigor: You naturally ground your decisions in data and metrics. You demonstrate the quantitative intuition characteristic of high-impact product leadership, ensuring every strategic pivot is backed by empirical evidence.

Who You Are

  • Adyen Formula Champion: You value team success over individual ego. You take pride in enabling other teams to ship faster, even when your contribution is invisible to the end merchant.
  • AI-Curious: You're excited by the question "how would an LLM test a payment integration?" and see this as a product opportunity, not a novelty.
  • Pragmatic Unifier: You see a landscape of legacy tooling and don't panic, you build a phased consolidation plan that respects existing dependencies while driving toward simplicity.
  • Builder Over Documenter: You'd rather ship a solution that covers the majority of use cases quickly than spend months perfecting coverage for one edge case.
  • Direct & Decisive: When stakeholders want conflicting approaches, you don't let the decision linger, you validate, decide, and move.

The Plus

  • Experience of working in fintech with an understanding of payment flows and/or financial products.
  • Experience with testing infrastructure or QA platforms
  • Experience building developer sandboxes, ephemeral environments, or test data management
