Engineer I - QA

Role Purpose As Engineer I - Quality Assurance at Accelya, you will support quality assurance for Accelya's airline software platform, executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects and contributing to quality improvement across our airline software development. Duties & Responsibilities • Execute manual and automated test cases for airline software features, documenting results and defects clearly • Contribute to test plan development and test case design under senior guidance • Use AI-powered testing tools (Testim AI, Mabl, GitHub Copilot) to generate test cases and improve test coverage • Report defects accurately with reproducible steps, severity ratings and supporting evidence • Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing quality perspective in sprint planning and reviews • Maintain test documentation and contribute to the team's regression test suite • Use generative AI (Claude, ChatGPT) to draft test cases, defect reports and QA documentation Required Experience & Skills • 0–3 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing • Good understanding of software testing methodologies and defect lifecycle management • Familiarity with test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, TestRail) and basic automation concepts • Strong analytical and documentation skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field; ISTQB Foundation preferred Preferred Experience & Skills • Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools (Testim AI, Mabl, Applitools) for intelligent test generation and self-healing automation • Use of generative AI (Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) for test case generation, defect documentation and QA reporting • Interest in airline software quality and the testing challenges of mission-critical systems serving 200+ global airlines • Awareness of how AI is transforming software testing including autonomous test generation and AI-powered defect prediction What do we offer? • An open culture with a creative and challenging opportunity to satisfy your intellectual needs • Flexible working hours • Smart working: a hybrid remote/office working environment • Work-life balance • An excellent, dynamic and multicultural environment to work in About Accelya Accelya is a leading global software provider to the airline industry, powering over 200 airlines with an open, modular software platform.
