Department Overview

Canadian Personal Banking Technology teams are responsible for delivering safe, secure, and innovative solutions in support of our customers and colleagues across all channels with a specific focus on Canadian Personal Banking, through our Servicing and Customer Engagement Platforms, Core, and Credit Platforms, as well as Customer and Colleague Assistance (e.g., Next Generation Contact Center (NGCC), ATM).

Drive complex SIT and E2E testing through hands-on test design, development, and execution, while building and enhancing automation frameworks to accelerate delivery and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Job Details - What You’ll Do

Role Overview

Contribute to end-to-end quality engineering by designing, developing, and executing test solutions that integrate seamlessly into continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring high-quality, secure, and reliable software aligned with business outcomes. Drive automation, risk management, and continuous improvement across testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Delivery

  • Contribute to test planning and execute hands-on test design, automation, and execution to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Analyze business requirements, design specifications, and architecture to define comprehensive end-to-end test coverage.
  • Define test data and environment requirements to support effective test execution.
  • Ensure alignment with Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Automation & Engineering Practices

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test suites, ensuring integration into CI/CD/CT pipelines.
  • Leverage service virtualization and virtual assets simulate unavailable systems and improve testing efficiency.
  • Identify early automation opportunities and contribute to scalable test solution design.
  • Conduct accessibility validation using JAWS screen reader, ensuring compliance with WCAG guidelines and enterprise accessibility standards to support inclusive and regulatory-compliant solutions.
  • Utilize enterprise QE tools, automation frameworks, and DevOps practices to enhance delivery speed and quality.

Quality Assurance & Defect Management

  • Perform defect identification, logging, and support resolution through detailed analysis and traceability.
  • Provide continuous feedback during development cycles, reporting test results and validating solution quality.
  • Ensure proactive risk identification, mitigation, and escalation of high-risk issues.

Data & Environment Management

  • Contribute to test data management strategies, leveraging automated provisioning and standardized toolsets.
  • Support environment readiness and data availability aligned with testing requirements.

Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain test artifacts, traceability matrices, and knowledge repositories.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise QE standards, internal policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Document risks, decisions, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure quality delivery.
  • Provide reporting, analytics, and insights on quality, performance, and user experience.
  • Actively contribute to communities of practice and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Delivery & Risk Management

  • Deliver solutions aligned to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a strong focus on risk management, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure awareness of cost implications and optimize testing strategies for efficiency.

Team Contribution & Leadership

  • Support a collaborative team environment that promotes innovation, quality, and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer, coaching, and mentoring within the team.
  • Participate in performance development, cross-training, and capability building initiatives.

Where You’ll Work

  • Primarily on site - 4 days a week at 160 Front St W Toronto

 Job Requirements -What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of Proven experience in testing or quality engineering
  • Expertise in Selenium and Kafka
  • Ability to leverage AI powered test suites
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies.

Nice to have: Knowledge/hands on FICO FAWB/PLOR
