Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As a Visual Merchandising (VM) Planner - NAM, you partner closely with the Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, and Retail Brand Marketing teams to deliver market‑leading retail experiences. You develop and execute monthly visual merchandising directives that define floor layouts, product presentation, mannequin styling, and in‑store marketing strategies. These directives translate the brand vision into clear, actionable standards and set the framework for visual excellence across the North American store fleet. Leveraging your understanding of the outdoor industry and retail environments, you inspire innovation, elevate store execution, and drive continuous improvement throughout our retail spaces.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada
Meet Your Future Team:
The North America Visual Merchandising team is accountable for driving regional consistency of Visual Merchandising within all retail stores, curating the guest journey to visually bring the design, merchandising and brand visions to life in an authentic and premium way. The team creates, delivers and trains on evergreen brand standards and seasonal directives informed by collaboration with cross-functional teams.
If you were the Visual Merchandising Planner - NAM now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
Supporting the creation of seasonal and monthly visual merchandising directives that are aligned with our product, assortment and brand strategies
Participating in the set up of go-to-market milestone or other meetings contributing strategic input to visual planning discussions
Developing visual strategies for your dedicated categories and delivering this content to stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the seasonal brand vision
Partnering closely with Merchandising, Planning and Allocations partners to support product journey maps, consolidations, markdowns and other product flow strategies
Evolving the approach and processes with a continuous improvement lens; partnering with cross-functional teams to drive VM strategies and enable creative, in-store product stories
Aligning the fleet by sharing feedback and evolution opportunities; connecting and collaborating monthly with Regional Visual Merchandisers
Developing and delivering product presentations for key calendar touchpoints that inspire and deliver the critical information to our internal stakeholders, ensuring successful development of seasonal assets and plans
Participating in market visits to gain additional store and competitor insights and feedback that will support in the elevation of visual standards
Seeking continuous feedback from leaders and other crossfunctional partners

Creating and continuously evolving our VM concept strategies based on global marketplace and key consumer trends to deliver on our 10-year brand vision
Initiating the development of new VM tools, documents and processes to drive functional efficiencies and evolution
Developing high business acumen for your dedicated categories to inform future fixture development and retail product assortment
Supporting VM in-store evolution across a global portfolio
Are you our next Visual Merchandising Planner - NAM?
You have a university degree in Visual Merchandising, Art & Design, Marketing or Business Management, or the equivalent experience in a corportate visual merchandising environment, or related retail role
A solid understanding of visual merchandising principles, store layouts and consumer journey
You are passionate about Visual Merchandising and styling with an eye for detail, and you are keen to progress with a career in retail
You have strong leadership and teamwork skills, able to facilitate work across many different internal departments and external key accounts and vendors
You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Create Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), with experience in rendering and/or graphic design programs such as Sketch-up and Figma (or a comparable program)
You are a creative problem solver, agile and can adapt to developing situations and provide solutions that work within our budget and timeline
You have the ability to consistently evaluate and evolve existing processes, with a passion to innovate beyond existing concepts
You have a highly collaborative working style and have the demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and share in feedback loops
You have excellent planning, organizing and project management skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
You have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and can clearly communicate from a strategic lens
You are enthusiastic and creative with a flair for design and color with an interest in popular culture and current trends
You have a strong understanding of the active apparel market and the key outdoor activities we make product for
You are willing and able to travel within North America as required (core consumer events, new store openings, new season launches etc.)
Compensation
The salary range for this role is CAD$82,000–CAD$103,000.
