Who We Are Looking For:
Phoenix Tailings is seeking a driven and accountable Shift Supervisor to lead shift operations in our Burlington production facility. In this critical role, you’ll ensure that our 24/7 metal production runs safely, efficiently, and at the cutting edge of innovation. You’ll play a hands-on role in delivering the rare earth and critical metals that underpin the world’s transition to clean energy and advanced technology.
This role follows a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, working 3 days one week and 4 days the following week over night and receive night shift pay differential.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a shift team to ensure consistent, high-quality metal production
Oversee day-to-day operations of high-temperature and chemical processing equipment
Drive safe practices and enforce compliance with all SOPs and safety protocols
Monitor production metrics and take immediate action to correct deviations
Conduct start-of-shift and end-of-shift meetings to align team performance and priorities
Train and support Operators in technical procedures and process understanding
Ensure accurate documentation of production data, incidents, and shift reports
Troubleshoot process and equipment issues, escalating when necessary
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement improvements and reduce downtime
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role within manufacturing, metal, or chemical production environments
Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced, 24/7 operations
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and accountability
Experience with shift scheduling and team coordination
Working knowledge of production metrics, downtime tracking, and root cause analysis
Mechanical or technical aptitude; familiarity with industrial controls is a plus
Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, and weekends as needed
