You will be part of Cisco's Technical Sales organization, serving as a trusted advisor to customers and partners while representing Cisco’s industry-leading portfolio across Networking, Security, Cloud, Collaboration, AI, and emerging technologies. The team works closely with account managers, business entities, partners, and customers to deliver innovative solutions that address complex business challenges and drive customer success.

As a technical sales professional, you will own the technical relationship with customers and partners, helping them achieve their business outcomes through Cisco’s technology portfolio. You will collaborate across sales teams, technical experts, and stakeholders to identify opportunities, design solutions, and expand Cisco's footprint within strategic accounts.

Your Impact

As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving customer success and business growth by aligning technology solutions with customer objectives. You will:

  • Collaborate with account teams to develop and execute customer account strategies, identifying opportunities for growth, cross-selling, and upselling.

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Translate customer business requirements into technical solutions leveraging Cisco’s full portfolio.

  • Design, present, and demonstrate solutions that showcase the business value and technical capabilities of Cisco technologies.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technical and business decision-makers across customer organizations.

  • Lead customer engagements and strategic discussions with IT leaders and line-of-business stakeholders.

  • Identify customer challenges and tailor solutions that address specific business and technical requirements.

  • Drive technical aspects of the sales cycle, from opportunity qualification through solution design and deal closure.

  • Manage and coordinate virtual teams of technical resources to support customer opportunities.

  • Participate in demand generation, enablement programs, and customer-facing campaigns.

  • Proactively monitor market trends and competitive activity to position Cisco effectively and increase market share.

  • Collaborate with internal business entities and sales teams to provide customer feedback, market insights, and strategic recommendations.

  • Lead educational and enablement initiatives to increase awareness and adoption of Cisco solutions among customers, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Adapt and prioritize effectively within a dynamic and evolving sales environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or customer-facing technical sales roles.

  • Proven experience leading customer engagements and technical sales cycles.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology domains including Networking, Security, Cloud, Collaboration, and AI.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Experience delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution workshops to customers and partners.

  • Strong customer engagement, communication, and relationship management skills.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

  • Commercial awareness with a strong focus on customer success and business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent vendor certifications.

  • Solution design and architecture experience across Networking, Security, Cloud, AI, Collaboration, and related technologies.

  • Experience working with enterprise and strategic accounts.

  • Strong competitive positioning and market analysis capabilities.

  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and customer acquisition.

  • Self-motivated professional capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.

  • Experience leading virtual technical teams and mentoring peers.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.

  • Increased penetration within existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling.
