Accountabilities

This role is responsible for leading all commercial activities for a major retail customer, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and strategic alignment.

  • Drive annual revenue, margin, and KPI delivery while accelerating sustainable market share growth across the assigned retail account.
  • Define and execute long-term account strategy, including business planning, forecasting, and performance optimization.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing sales team, including talent management, coaching, succession planning, and capability building.
  • Own and manage senior-level customer relationships, including top-to-top engagement and joint business planning.
  • Oversee commercial P&L performance, ensuring disciplined trade spend management and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across finance, marketing, supply chain, and revenue growth management.
  • Leverage data, shopper insights, and category analytics to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and optimize execution.
  • Requirements

    This position requires strong commercial leadership experience within consumer goods or similarly complex, customer-facing environments.

    • Minimum 10+ years of experience in CPG sales, category management, or customer marketing, with exposure to large retail accounts.
    • Proven experience leading sales teams and managing cross-functional, multi-geography business relationships.
    • Strong background in commercial P&L ownership, financial planning, and margin optimization.
    • Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into actionable customer strategies.
    • Strong understanding of retail dynamics, trade spend management, and revenue growth practices.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with executive-level presence.
    • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
    • High adaptability, strong organizational skills, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
    • Willingness to travel regularly (approximately 30%) and valid driver’s license required.
