You will join a high-performing, established Sales team that has been pioneering the A2A revolution for over 15 years. About the role
 
As Senior Sales Manager, you will lead Trustly’s expansion across the UK’s most influential sectors. You will navigate high-stakes negotiations with Tier-1 enterprises across Insurance, Telco, Travel, and E-commerce, managing a portfolio of strategic prospects with annual revenues exceeding £1B. Reporting to the VP Sales, you will drive complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles, helping establish Trustly’s A2A technology as the benchmark for modern account-to-account payments while delivering measurable business impact to some of the world’s most ambitious organisations.

What you'll do

  • Drive market expansion by balancing long-term Enterprise bets with high-velocity Mid-Market revenue generation.

  • Take ownership of your pipeline. You are responsible for proactive hunting and lead generation, leveraging your network and ecosystem engagement to build a sustainable book of business.

  • Structure the sales approach for the UK market. Beyond closing deals, you will establish the sales playbooks and processes that will serve as the blueprint for our local sales team expansion

  • Target and acquire high-value accounts by engaging everyone from technical product managers to C-level executives.

  • Lead cross-functional engagements (Product, Engineering, Legal, and Risk) to ensure complex technical integrations translate into high-volume live transactions.

  • Provide critical market insights to our innovation and leadership teams to ensure Trustly remains the UK market leader.

  • Represent Trustly as a Thought Leader at industry forums, building high visibility in the evolving UK payments and Open Banking ecosystem.

Who you are

  • You bring 7+ years of high-impact sales experience in Payments or Fintech. You don't wait for inbound leads; you thrive on the "thrill of the chase" and have a proven track record of breaking into new, competitive accounts.

  • You are a practitioner of modern enterprise sales frameworks (MEDDIC/MEDDPICC). You are disciplined, analytical, and proactive in qualifying (or disqualifying) deals early to maximize your efficiency.

  • You are an expert individual contributor with the ambition to transition into a formal leadership role. You have the vision and potential to eventually hire, build, and manage a high-performing sales team as we scale our UK footprint.

  • You bridge the gap between business requirements and technical feasibility. You are comfortable discussing API documentation and building ROI-driven business cases that challenge the status quo.

  • You possess the "grit" required for long-game enterprise cycles and the agility needed for mid-market speed. You take ownership of your territory.

  • You have a "never win alone" spirit. While you focus on your own targets, you take pride in mentoring peers and contributing to the collective growth of the UK team.
