This role sits at the forefront of genomics innovation, driving adoption of advanced life science solutions across a defined territory.
You will be responsible for building and expanding strategic customer relationships across academic, biotech, pharmaceutical, and government accounts.
The position combines scientific understanding with commercial execution, enabling researchers to accelerate breakthroughs in areas such as qPCR, CRISPR, NGS, and synthetic biology.
You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions that support both short- and long-term scientific goals.
The role requires a strong blend of field sales expertise, consultative selling, and territory planning to achieve revenue and growth targets.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams and leverage CRM tools to manage pipeline, forecast business, and drive performance.
This is a high-impact commercial role where scientific innovation meets customer-centric sales execution.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, identifying growth opportunities, driving revenue, and expanding customer relationships across the assigned territory.
- Prospect and acquire new customers while maintaining strong engagement with existing accounts to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Build and execute territory business plans based on market research, customer insights, and growth opportunities within life science applications.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their scientific needs and aligning solutions across qPCR, CRISPR, NGS, and related technologies.
- Manage full sales cycle activities including customer visits, consultations, pipeline development, forecasting, and CRM-based reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams and leverage resources to ensure high-quality customer experience and achievement of sales objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences required; advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) preferred.
- 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in life science reagents, consumables, or genomics-related products.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets over multiple years.
- Strong understanding of life science applications such as qPCR, CRISPR, functional genomics, synthetic biology, or NGS.
- Experience working with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and managing complex sales pipelines.
- Strong consultative selling, communication, and relationship-building skills with scientific and technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with academic, biotech, pharmaceutical, or government research environments within the assigned region.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
Benefits:
- Base salary range of $150,000 – $175,000 with total target compensation up to $230,000 – $255,000 including sales incentive compensation.
