About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Bioprocess Development Scientist to join our Enzyme Competence Center (ECC).
In this role, you will work on recombinant protein and enzyme development in both RUO and GMP projects. You will take part in different stages of the process — from gene work and cell cultivation to purification, analysis, and documentation.
We are looking for a practical scientist who enjoys laboratory work, can think critically, and is ready to take responsibility for experiments and results.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and perform laboratory experiments and troubleshoot technical problems
- Analyze experimental results and make clear conclusions
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, reports, and other documentation
- Support process or method transfer to Operations
- Work closely with colleagues from different teams and others when needed
What We Are Looking For
- BSc or MSc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering;
- At least 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience in biotech or pharma
- Experience with recombinant protein or enzyme production
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Good documentation and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking
- Team-oriented mindset
Technical Experience in Two or More of These Areas
- Gene engineering;
- Cell banking;
- Bacterial fermentation (shake flasks and bioreactors);
- Mammalian cell culture;
- Protein purification (chromatography: IEX, HIC, SEC, affinity);
- Clarification, filtration, TFF;
- ELISA, Western blot, electrophoresis;
- PCR / qPCR, enzyme activity assays;
- QC method development and validation ;
- Statistics and data analysis.

Compensation
The monthly salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €2 891,67–€4 335,42.Science & R&D pay context
