DESCRIPTION
Join our innovative R&D team to make a meaningful impact on scientific advancement. As a Scientist III in the HPCS (High Performance Chromatography Solutions) business, you will lead technical projects and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to develop advanced chromatography consumables that enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. This role focuses on end-to-end chromatography column development and commercialization including the creation of customer facing collateral demonstrating product performance. You will design and execute experiments, analyze complex data, resolve technical challenges, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers opportunities to mentor colleagues while working independently on sophisticated research programs that directly impact product development and customer success.
Education
- PhD, Master’s degree plus 3 years’ experience, or Bachelors plus 5 years’ experience in a relevant field
- Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering or related discipline
Experience
- Experimentation, data analysis, and iterative learning to improve technical understanding and performance.
- Using scientific theory and literature to intelligently design experiments for product design and evaluation
- Previous experience liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry a plus but not required
- Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., ISO9001, ISO13485, cGMP) a plus but not required
Requirements

- Continuously seeks ways to improve processes, efficiency, quality, and customer outcomes
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a results-oriented environment
- Collaborate with Technical Support to understand and resolve customer issues through product and process investigations and improvements
- Connect directly with customers to understand and address needs and pain points through new product design and improvement of current products and processes
- Willingness to travel up to 5%
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant scientific software
- Fluent English required; additional languages beneficial
- Valid driver's license and/or passport required for travel
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $100,000.00–$133,300.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
