Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an R&D/Manufacturing Scientist I, where you'll contribute to pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. You'll conduct laboratory work to ensure products meet the highest quality standards while supporting our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role, you'll perform analytical testing on raw materials, finished products, and stability samples using advanced instrumentation and techniques. You'll execute validated test methods, participate in method development and validation activities, and maintain precise documentation of all analyses. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll interact with cross-functional teams while maintaining strict compliance with cGMP, safety regulations, and SOPs. This position offers opportunities for growth and development in pharmaceutical research and manufacturing.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree required, no prior experience required
• Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related physical science field
• Proficiency in analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, LC/MS, and dissolution testing
• Strong knowledge of chemistry and analytical instrumental technologies
• Experience with method development, validation, and qualification procedures
• Demonstrated ability to maintain detailed documentation and laboratory records
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry quality and regulatory requirements
• Excellent problem-solving skills with logical approach to scientific challenges
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Physical ability to stand, lift 10-35 pounds, and perform laboratory tasks
• Willingness to wear required safety equipment (glasses, lab coat, gloves, etc.)
• Must maintain strict compliance with cGMP, OSHA, and safety regulations
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
