Job Title: Zscaler SME (ZIA / ZPA / ZDX)
Location: Bengaluru, India
We are seeking an experienced Zscaler Subject Matter Expert (SME) to manage, optimize, and support our secure access architecture using Zscaler technologies. The role will be responsible for administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and policy management across ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX platforms to ensure secure and seamless connectivity for enterprise users and applications.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and manage Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) policies including URL filtering, Cloud Firewall, SSL inspection, Sandbox, and DLP controls.
Configure and maintain GRE/IPSec tunnels between branch locations and the Zscaler cloud to enable secure internet breakout.
Monitor internet traffic, enforce security policies, and analyze logs to identify anomalies or policy violations.
Troubleshoot web access issues, SSL inspection failures, and policy enforcement problems within the ZIA environment.
Administer and maintain Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) for secure application access.
Configure application segments, access policies, and posture checks to enforce Zero Trust access controls.
Deploy and manage App Connectors and ensure high availability for private application access.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues related to private applications, source IP anchoring, client forwarding, and private DNS.
Integrate ZPA with enterprise identity providers such as Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Okta, and SAML-based authentication systems.
Monitor digital experience using Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX).
Analyze user experience metrics including latency, packet loss, DNS resolution, and application performance.
Perform end-to-end troubleshooting across endpoint, network, and application layers to identify root causes of performance issues.
Generate periodic user experience and performance reports to support operations and leadership insights.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Zscaler platform administration (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX).
Solid understanding of Zero Trust architecture and secure internet access frameworks.
Experience configuring GRE/IPSec tunnels, authentication integrations, and policy management.
Strong troubleshooting skills across network, security, DNS, and endpoint layers.
Knowledge of identity federation and SSO integrations (Azure AD / Okta / SAML).
Familiarity with enterprise networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, proxies, SSL/TLS).
Preferred Qualifications
Zscaler certifications (ZCCA / ZCCP / ZCSP).
Experience with cloud security, SASE architectures, and enterprise network security operations.
Exposure to monitoring tools, SIEM integration, and automation frameworks.

Experience
6–10+ years in network security / cloud security operations with strong Zscaler implementation or administration experience.
