Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Physical Security Industrial Security Analyst 3 with knowledge of Site Security Operations, SAPF accreditations, and infrastructure enhancements to support the AS Security team in El Segundo, CA.
Roles and responsibilities: The role will focus on safeguarding closed‑area environments, ensuring secure perimeter infrastructure, and remaining current on US Government policies and procedures. The ideal candidate combines hands‑on security experience with strong project‑management skills, and the ability to collaborate across a variety of functional departments.
Principal Industrial Security Analyst (ISA3) Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Engineering, or related field with 5 years in physical security, preferably in corporate or government environments; experience with design‑review and large‑scale construction projects; 3 years with a Masters OR an additional 4 years of physical security, preferably in corporate or government environments; experience with design‑review and large‑scale construction projects experience will be considered in-lieu of a degree
Knowledge of access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection, badge issuance platforms, and perimeter hardening methods
Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary security projects from concept through completion
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present technical findings to non‑technical executives
Candidate must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance current within 6 years
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Willingness to travel to off‑site facilities (up to 25 % of time)
Ability to conduct on‑site inspections, which may involve walking, climbing ladders, and lifting equipment up to 25 lb
Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for visit coordination or emergency response
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
ICD 705 Course, PPS (Physical Protection Specialist) or CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or similar credential
CDSE Professional Certification
Experience working in an SAP environment
Experience with DoD Manual 5205.07, ICD-705, and 32 CFR Part 117
Working knowledge of LEED or other sustainable building standards as they relate to security design
Familiarity with emergency response planning and crisis management.
Proficiency in security management software (e.g., Genetec, Lenel, Avigilon)
Ability to conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for both physical and cyber‑physical interfaces
