Data Center Site Security Manager
What You’ll Do
The Security organization at CoreWeave is responsible for protecting critical infrastructure across our growing data center footprint. This team partners closely with Data Center Operations, the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), corporate security leadership, campus security, and customer stakeholders to maintain secure, compliant, and resilient operations across mission-critical environments.
About the Role
The Data Center Site Security Manager owns physical security operations for CoreWeave’s wholly-owned data center in Kenilworth, NJ. Responsible for protecting critical infrastructure across the facility, this role oversees all aspects of site security, including contract guard force management, electronic security systems, access control, incident response, investigations, and compliance with CoreWeave and customer security requirements.
As the site continues to expand, you will scale security operations to support a growing footprint while partnering closely with campus security and property management teams across shared infrastructure and common areas. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), Data Center Operations, corporate security leadership, local law enforcement, external vendors, and customer stakeholders.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in mission-critical environments and is comfortable owning security operations end-to-end. The ideal candidate brings experience managing physical security programs within data centers, critical infrastructure, or similarly high-security environments, along with strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to effectively engage with customers, executives, contractors, and operational teams.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining site security standards, managing security incidents and investigations, supporting customer audits and site visits, overseeing vendor performance, and ensuring compliance with security policies and operational requirements. This position reports to the Security Operations Manager, requires full-time onsite presence in Kenilworth, NJ, and may provide support to other regional CoreWeave facilities as needed.
In this role, you will:

- Manage the on-site contract guard force, including post orders, staffing, scheduling, performance management, vendor oversight, and accountability.
- Coordinate with campus security and property management teams on shared perimeter security, common areas, and campus-wide security protocols.
- Administer and enforce access control policies across multiple security layers, including perimeter gates, building entrances, interlocking vestibules, and data hall access, following the principle of least privilege.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm monitoring platforms.
- Receive and manage physical security and business-impacting event escalations, ensuring appropriate triage, stakeholder communication, and effective onsite response.
- Partner with the GSOC on alarm response, incident management, monitoring activities, and escalation procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve site-specific security plans, post orders, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and emergency response procedures.
- Oversee visitor, vendor, and contractor access programs, including badging, escort requirements, and sign-in/sign-out processes.
- Track and report on key security metrics, incidents, trends, and operational performance indicators to support continuous improvement.
- Support security operations at other regional CoreWeave facilities as needed.
Inspections, Audits & Investigations
- Conduct routine security inspections and risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending corrective actions.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to track, manage, and remediate security findings through resolution.
- Prepare audit reports and security assessments to support corporate security objectives, customer requirements, and compliance initiatives.
- Lead investigations into security incidents, policy violations, and operational concerns while maintaining appropriate documentation and evidence handling standards.
Training & Security Awareness
- Foster a culture of security awareness by delivering training and guidance to employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Maintain a regular security training cadence and support onboarding activities related to site security policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Promote compliance with security standards through ongoing communication, engagement, and education initiatives.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary site security contact for customer security requirements, audits, assessments, and site visits.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, and external security partners.
- Partner closely with campus property management and campus security teams to ensure alignment on shared security objectives.
- Collaborate with facilities, construction, and operations teams to support maintenance activities, infrastructure projects, and operational changes while maintaining security requirements.
Who You Are
- 7+ years of experience in physical security, with at least 3 years leading security operations at a standalone facility, campus environment, data center, critical infrastructure site, or similar operational setting.
- Proven experience managing contract guard force programs, including vendor oversight, performance management, scheduling, and operational readiness.
- Experience supporting security operations in growing, multi-building, or campus-style environments.
- Strong working knowledge of electronic security systems, including access control, video management systems (VMS), CCTV, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, and incident response technologies.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk, investigate incidents, and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and security-related software platforms.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and technical writing skills, with the ability to effectively engage executives, customers, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive relationships across diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and maintain operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Kenilworth, NJ, with occasional travel to other CoreWeave facilities as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
