What role you will play in our team

 

Manage the tactical supply, demand, and inventory planning processes for basestock and wax products Coordinate across multiple stakeholders, including refinery, lubricant manufacturing plant, procurement, trading, logistics, and sales/marketing teams, to ensure optimal supply availability and efficient operations aligned with business objectives.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

 

1. Coordinate, communicate, align

•  Work closely with logistics (marine and land) and procurement teams to execute and optimize transportation, storage, and delivery schedules

•  Coordinate with global and regional supply teams to align local supply strategies with broader organizational goals

2. Execute basestocks and waxes replenishment process

•  Develop and execute short- and medium-term tactical supply plans for basestock and wax across source refineries and lubricant plant circuit

•  Monitor demand forecasts, supply availability, and inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted business operations

•  Manage supply risks proactively through scenario planning, alternative sourcing, or stock reallocation

•  Analyze market trends and operational performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities

•  Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards, as well as company policies

•  Support the planning and execution of import/export activities related to basestock and wax

•  Prepare reports and dashboards for management to support data-driven decision-making

Job Role Responsibilities - Continued

 

Supply/Demand Management

  • Analyze demand, capacity, and supply to meet both internal and external customer demands
  • Review and approve/decline demand rolling forecast and other ad-hoc demand changes jointly with Sales to ensure supply feasibility.
  • Coordinate lifting plan to meet the customer requirements at the most cost effective way with maximum supply reliability.
  • Receive and review production planning from the sites, provide feedback on optimizations that balance throughput and earnings implications.
  • Provide impact on Specialties loading schedule to Sales and Schedulers.
  • Execute annual Basestock purchase plan from 3P suppliers.
  • Coordinate third-party tankage replenishment schedule.
  • Chair regular Regional Supply Meeting
  • Responsible for managing system inventories with reviews of short term inventory, supply (refinery production/import) and demand.
  • Signal supply availability to Sales
  • Function as liaison between Sales, Product Optimizers, Refinery / Supplier, Schedulers (and Technical to resolve unplanned issues impacting the supply to customers)
  • Provide Schedulers periodic inventory update and product specific loading tolerances.
  • Support Finished Lubricants Supply Demand (including third party basestocks) discussions directly with Finished lubricants supply planning
  • Own and maintain tools and programs (outside of planning system) for executing shipments to customers and maintaining inventory levels
  • Provide LIFO projections at the end of the year Tactical Interactions with 3P
  • Execute annual Basestock purchase plan from third party suppliers
  • Coordinate with Product Management and execute any third party tankage requirements through Logistics
  • Identify supplier/vendor issues and coordinate/implement effective and timely solutions Continuous Improvement
  • Identifyshort/long-term opportunities to enhance productivity and work practices
  • Report key learnings and highlights relating to supply planning such as customer forecast adherence, operational reliability and impact on capacity planning assumptions
  • Suggest and monitor any improvements in Refinery logistics, shipment opportunities like co-loading, and new load locations to Improve advisor
  • Provide input for projects (e.g. new product developments for supply chain / logistics requirements).

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Research (or related fields such as Applied Mathematics/Statistics)
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience in supply chain network or supplier management
  • Experience supporting supply chain activities for large scale operations preferred (particularly in Oil & Gas and FMCG)
  • Understand Supply Chain Fundamentals and Supply & Demand Principles Technical Requirements
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, including the ability to implement and edit complex formulas, and extraction of information from ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) is critical
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Experience in supply planning roles in Petrochemical, FMCG, CPG, Manufacturing, E -Commerce highly preferred
  • Experience in, and understanding of, manufacturing principles and concepts in Oil & Gas Industry highly preferred (Refining/Petrochemical experience)
  • Experience with supply and/or production planning processes for either inbound materials or finished products
  • Experience in marine bulk vessels supply chain and coordination
  • Experienced in network, product flow optimization, deployment/replenishment planning for large scale supply chain (particularly Oil & Gas/FMCG/CPG)
  • Experienced in conducting analyses and providing recommendations for supply planning problems using platforms such as:  SAP IBP/APO, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis,Tableau and/or Power Bl for visualization,Power Query, Excel
