DESCRIPTION:
Join our Supply Chain team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and make a meaningful impact on global science and healthcare. As a Supply Chain Specialist, you'll optimize processes across planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution while serving as a key liaison between various business functions. You'll leverage SAP expertise to drive efficient operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional customer service. This role offers opportunities to improve processes, manage supply chain activities, and contribute to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree required, no prior experience needed in supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing environment
• Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
• SAP certification beneficial but not required
• APICS certification preferred
• Proficient in SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Smartsheets
• Strong understanding of cGMP and quality management systems
• Experience with materials management, warehouse operations, and inventory control
• Expertise in order processing, procurement, and logistics coordination
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong project management and process improvement skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience with supply chain metrics and KPI reporting
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and documentation requirements
• Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder management skills
