Inventory Control Clerk

1st Shift

 

General Summary

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory records, preparing and processing cycle counts, compiling and distributing specified reporting, velocity research and slotting and helping to balance WMI and SAP. The Inventory Control Clerk is a valued member of the KEEN Fan Engagement Center (FEC) family.

 

Scope and Complexity

Advanced and complicated tasks requiring considerable judgment, independent analysis and detailed knowledge of the position and procedures. May provide guidance to lower-level employees.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Researches and documents root cause of inventory discrepancies. Ensures system count matches physical inventory.

 

  • Updates WMS to match physical through various methods. Inputs required data elements into WMS and various other applications.

 

  • Data setup and validation. Audits existing data for inaccuracies.

 

  • Documents information on product hold and inspections.

 

  • Reviews standard operating procedures and keeps documentation current.

 

  • Works with inventory department management to document and train warehouse operations staff on inventory procedures.

 

  • Assists with daily and weekly reports.

 

  • Assists in development and implementation of special projects and tasks.

 

  • Supports operations through building wide housekeeping maintenance including cardboard and waste removal.

 

  • Moves labor to balance building workload within the building.

 

  • Contributes to a positive work environment in a manner that is consistent with KEEN expectations; Provides outstanding service to our partners and fans. Promotes a safety-first work environment. Shows respect for the KEEN brand; including teammates within the operation. Conducts self with reliable and punctual attendance.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of work experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment. Experience in inventory control preferred.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment as needed and obtain any required certifications.
  • Ability to solve problems with high energy and a positive attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and with external partners.  
  • Ability to positively lead and staff associate team members to accomplish daily, weekly and monthly production goals.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment (e.g., hot summers, cold winters).
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
