DIS-TRAN Steel is looking for a Supply Chain Manager who is analytical, precise, self-directed, quality-focused, and motivated by building reliable systems that improve performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex operational problems, working with data, creating structure, and strengthening processes across procurement, inventory, logistics, warehousing, sourcing, and strengthening supplier relationships.
The Supply Chain Manager will oversee planning, procurement, sourcing, MRO inventory management, logistics, receiving, warehousing, and supplier management functions that support production, project execution, and customer delivery requirements. This role also leads the supply chain, warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams.
· High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
· 8+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, warehouse, or inventory management preferred.
· Experience with industrial products, manufacturing environments, customers, and vendors required.
· Leadership and direct people management experience preferred.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· ERP experience required; Epicor experience preferred.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work in industrial and warehouse environments as needed.
· Clear motor vehicle history required.
In this role, you will:
· Develop and manage supply chain strategies that support operational and business objectives.
· Oversee sourcing, procurement, supplier management, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, and MRO.
· Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of direct and indirect materials.
· Maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
· Partner with production, engineering, project management, and operations to forecast material demand.
· Understand and work within the ERP system for supply chain management.
· Develop ERP system beyond current functionality.
· Analyze supply chain data and develop reporting around inventory turns, delivery performance, supplier performance, and cost savings.
· Identify process gaps and implement improvements across supply chain functions.
· Lead supplier negotiations related to pricing, delivery schedules, contracts, and service expectations.
· Manage supply chain risk through contingency planning and supplier diversification.
