Location: Mainz
Working hours: Up to 20 hours/week

Are you service-oriented, interested in technology, and enjoy supporting users with questions and issues related to IT systems? Would you like to gain practical experience in IT support while getting to know modern processes, tools, and ways of working?

Then become part of our Service Desk team and help us ensure reliable and solution-oriented support. In this role, you will gain hands-on insights into daily IT operations, the handling of support requests, and the optimization of support processes.

Your responsibilities

  • Supporting the Service Desk team in daily operational activities

  • Receiving, analyzing, and processing IT requests through various communication channels (e.g., ticketing system, email, phone)

  • Performing initial troubleshooting and providing support for hardware and software-related issues

  • Assisting with the setup and administration of user accounts, access rights, and permissions

  • Maintaining and updating documentation, knowledge bases, and support information

  • Collaborating with internal teams and external contacts to find solutions quickly

  • If interested, contributing to a virtual Competence Team in areas such as Zendesk, AI, or automation

Your profile

  • You are an enrolled student, ideally studying IT, technology, or a related field

  • You are interested in IT systems, digital work environments, and ideally have some experience with support processes

  • You work in a structured, careful, and solution-oriented manner

  • You communicate in a friendly, clear, and service-focused way with various stakeholders

  • You enjoy understanding technical concepts and independently analyzing problems

  • You are confident using MS Office and digital tools

  • Very good German language skills, both written and spoken, as well as English skills complete your profile
