What you'll do:

The Preferred Banking Support Specialist delivers exceptional client service and sales support, acting as a bridge between the Client Care Specialist and Preferred Banking Advisor roles. This position is responsible for efficiently processing a wide range of banking transactions—including those requiring cashbox management—while supporting Relationship Managers and ensuring compliance with all bank policies and procedures. The Preferred Banking Associate provides professional, prompt, and accurate banking experiences, proactively assists clients, and supports the sales process through effective communication and operational excellence.
  • Transaction Processing & Cash Handling
    • Accurately and efficiently process all client transactions, including cash and non-cash items, adhering to established policies and procedures.
    • Maintain and balance a cashbox, ensuring compliance with audit and security standards.
    • Perform all transaction types handled by a Client Care Specialist, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and account servicing.
  • Sales Support & Client Service
    • Partner with Relationship Managers and other branch personnel to support pipeline and prospect management within CRM systems.
    • Assist with new account, maintenance, and Treasury Management product delivery
    • Proactively contact clients, review reporting, and perform operational processes or controls as needed.
    • Provide research and resolution for client inquiries, ensuring issues are resolved to the satisfaction of the client and in compliance with bank standards.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Adhere to all compliance, security, state and federal regulations, and bank policies and procedures.
    • Meet or exceed service level standards, including customer service, turnaround time, cross-selling goals, risk management, regulatory compliance, audit soundness, and productivity.
    • Validate/verify client identity prior to releasing information or assisting with transactions.
  • Operational & Administrative Support
    • Support management and team with daily operations, including report completion for executive management.
    • Gather information for loan packages and coordinate with underwriting and document teams.
    • May assist in setting up new accounts and accompany Relationship Managers on customer calls as needed.

What you'll need:

  • 2+ years of related experience in Customer Service, Branch or Retail Banking, Treasury Management Services; or Bachelor's degree in related field. or similar field.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of deposit products, client servicing, and operational processes within a fast paced, client-focused banking environment.
  • Entry level to intermediate attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and risk management;.
  • Entry level to intermediate experience and proven ability to engage professionally with clients, partners, and leaders.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Occasional travel required.
     

Compensation: Hourly range for new hires is generally $24.00 - $29.65 for Las Vegas, NV. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
