Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical & Mechanical)
Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our team of maintenance technicians in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background (major) complemented by mechanical knowledge, and hands-on experience troubleshooting manufacturing machines including CNC and manual machines. The supervisor will also be responsible for interpreting electrical diagrams, PLC programming, and mechanical drawings, ensuring efficient and safe plant operations.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure timely and effective maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing machinery, including CNC and manual machines.
Interpret electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and PLC logic to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
Coordinate routine preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize machine performance and reliability.
Document maintenance activities and generate maintenance reports.
Train and mentor maintenance staff on technical and safety procedures.
Qualifications
Experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Significant experience in maintenance supervision within a manufacturing environment.
Strong electrical background with major expertise in electrical systems and PLCs.
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams, PLC logic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting CNC and manual manufacturing machines.
Solid mechanical knowledge and ability to effectively diagnose mechanical faults.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with specific PLC brands or manufacturing software is an advantage.
Certification related to electrical and mechanical maintenance is a plus.
