Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator Level 3/4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Based in St. Augustine, FL, this full-time, on-site position requires a dynamic schedule with availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Placement at a Level 3 or 4 is determined by the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety inspections and hazard assessments
  • Monitor hazardous operations and review contractor safety compliance
  • Perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments
  • Ensure all site operations meet OSHA, EPA, and Northrop Grumman rules and regulations
  • Manage machine guarding and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and investigate employee health and safety concerns
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of safety activities, inspections, and compliance metrics
  • Provide respiratory protection program oversight
  • Perform industrial hygiene and occupational health monitoring (e.g., air quality, noise)
  • Conduct regular fire extinguishers and eyewash inspections
  • Develop and conduct new hire orientation and routine safety/health training
  • Execute hazardous waste inspections, management, and regulatory oversight
  • Provide air permitting support and conduct environmental testing
  • Ensure storm water and industrial wastewater compliance with local and federal regulations
  • Lead comprehensive accident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Support the ongoing development and continuous improvement of site safety and health programs

Basic Qualifications Level 3:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Environmental, Health & Safety experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to lift, up to 50 lbs.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays

Basic Qualifications Level 4:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Environmental, Health & Safety experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to lift, up to 50 lbs.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD clearance
  • Experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across all levels of management, staff, and outside vendors, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. Proficient in using computer systems and specialized software relevant to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) operations

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
