RVI Scranton Maintenance Generalist

Pay Range: $20.35 - $29.10; Shift Pay: $2.00 or $3.00

Description:

This position will perform task involving welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, removing and replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water and steam pipes, lines and systems in an industrial environment while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks:

Requires knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, plumbing and boilers. Must be able to use basic hand tools. Require basic mechanical or maintenance skills. Must be able to lift 60 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet. Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Will be required to obtain the certification and operate a forklift, skid-steer loader and man-lift. Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations. Must have the ability to document information. Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally. Requirements:

Maintenance Generalist MG01 through MG08 candidates must have at least three (3) months of industrial maintenance work experience documented on their application.

Must be willing to work shift A, B, C, or D. Applicants must be 18 years of age.

  • A Crew – Sunday – Tuesday 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday 6:00 a.m. – 12 noon

  • B Crew – Sunday – Tuesday 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.  Wednesday 6:00 p.m. – 12 midnight

  • C Crew – Wednesday 12 noon – 6:00 p.m., Thursday – Saturday 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

  • D Crew – Wednesday 12 midnight – 6:00 a.m., Thursday – Saturday 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Rehire Criteria:

  • Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.

  • Also, if you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.
