The Facilities & Maintenance Technician is responsible for day-to-day maintenance and facilities needs for OTTC/GoNetspeed in the NY region. The supervisor will also handle conversations with municipalities and code officers for work in new OSP build territories for POPs and buildings. 
 
Essential Job Functions:   
 
Facilities & Maintenance:
•Interact with landlords on repairs, access, etc.
•Build and maintain relationships with local governments to obtain building permits.
•Build and maintain POP locations and cabinet sites.
•Building maintenance and upkeep.
•Oversee all operations of facilities and maintenance needs. 
•Monitor needs based on budget. 
•Mowing lawns of owned properties and maintain remote POP locations. 
•Assist other departments to meet their needs and deadlines.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
 
•Accepts responsibility for independent decisions and works with minimal supervision.
•Knowledge of industry specifications and standards.                                              
•Knowledge of company products and services.
•Knowledge of company policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:
 
•Two-year degree preferred, high school diploma required
•Forklift training
•Experience with electrical standards and safety codes
•Experience with natural gas and propane installations
•Experience with HVAC systems 
•Experience with Kohler Generators
