Shift 1

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION

Safely operate light- to medium-commercial vehicles to transport materials between the warehouse and switchgear factory.

Perform multiple daily trips between facilities located approximately five miles apart.

Load, unload, secure, and transport materials of varying sizes, weights, and dimensions.

Verify materials against pick lists, shipping documents, or transfer requests to ensure accuracy.

Maintain timely and accurate delivery of materials to support production schedules.

Communicate with warehouse, production, and logistics personnel regarding material needs and delivery status.

Check and respond to emails and calls as necessary to coordinate transportation activities.

Use a scanner to enter material and inventory transaction data accurately and in a timely manner.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.

Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and transportation procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area.

Assist with other warehouse, inventory, and material handling duties as assigned.

YOU HAVE

Valid Class B driver's license with an acceptable driving record, Class A license preferred.

Ability to safely operate a box truck, pickup truck with trailer, and other vehicles.

Basic computer skills, including email communication and data entry.

Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities throughout the day.

Previous experience driving a box truck, pickup truck with trailer, and other vehicles, preferred.

Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or material handling environment.

Ability to frequently load, unload, move, and transport materials of varying sizes and weights.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and reach throughout the workday.

Ability to safely enter and exit vehicles multiple times per day.

Ability to work in warehouse, manufacturing, and outdoor environments as needed.

The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transportation of materials between the warehouse and switchgear manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient material flow between facilities and supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The role requires frequent loading, unloading, and movement of materials of various sizes, as well as basic computer skills to manage communications and data entry.
