Job Description
We're actively seeking a reliable, full-time, permanent Driver based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, to provide coverage for out-of-town routes and overnights.

Responsibilities:
- Competently performs pre-trip and post-trips inspections with the intent of identifying and communicating minor and major defects to the Transportation Supervisor, and also completes daily driver log book using HOS application on mobile device.
- Local, Out of town and overnight routes.
- Loads and unloads truck by placing and securing items in such a manner that prevents damage to the products and truck, regular lifting will be required
- Local and occasional out of town routes
- Ensuring all materials are properly packaged, and orders are fully complete and in accordance with the packing slip prior to trip departure.
- Deliver and collect products/waste containers in accordance with scheduled route and serves customers by understanding, resolving and/or forwarding customer questions.
- Diligently completes Daniels' commercial vehicle cleaning and disinfecting protocol on a daily basis.
- Accurately records information on packing slip and manifest, ensuring compliance with TDG Regulations.
- Complies with all environmental & health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
Class 5 license with air brakes
Ability to work flexible hours, overtime as required and completing out of town routes and overnights.
This position requires working and being away from home Mon - Thurs every week, except Mon – Fri for one week in the month.
Must have winter driving experience and be able to chain up truck tires during winter months
Overnight stay in hotel – along with per diem per night (while away from home)
Driving a 28ft Ton box truck
Occasionally lifting, pushing pulling weights of sixty pounds or more.
Minimum of 12 months verifiable, related behind the wheel driving experience (within last 36 months).
Clean Driver’s Abstract
Ability and knowledge to safely load and properly block, brace, and secure materials.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
Ability to drive the vehicle safely in accordance with all traffic regulations.
Ability to complete compliance paperwork and all shipping documents/bill of ladings.
