About Polymarket
Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.
We're growing fast — both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.
About the Role
Polymarket is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Receptionist to be the face of our office. You'll own the front desk experience — greeting guests, managing the daily external guest log, and coordinating with the CEO's EA, our on-site security detail, and building security to ensure everyone who walks through our doors is expected, welcomed, and properly vetted.
The ideal candidate loves helping others, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and brings a "no job too big or small" attitude. Thick skin, professionalism, and excellent communication skills are essential.
What You'll Do
Own the front desk experience — greeting all visitors and ensuring they feel welcomed, informed, and directed to the right person or area
Manage the external guest log daily, ensuring all visitors are pre-announced, logged, and cleared with the CEO's EA, leadership, security, and building management
Coordinate guest access with on-site security for VIPs, trial workers, vendors, and candidates — ensuring IDs are checked and access procedures are followed
Monitor Signal/Slack channels for front-desk inquiries and relay timely messages to internal stakeholders
Support meeting and event setup, including directing guests, room readiness, and liaising with catering and facilities as needed
Receive, sort, and distribute mail, deliveries, and packages; keep the reception and lobby area tidy and organized
Provide light administrative support across teams when the front desk is covered
Act as an extra set of eyes and ears on office security, flagging anything unusual and escalating appropriately
What We're Looking For
2+ years in a customer-facing role — receptionist, front desk, hospitality, retail, or office coordinator
Experience in a tech company or startup environment strongly preferred; comfortable with ambiguity and constant change
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with executives, guests, and vendors
High attention to detail — you notice the small things that make the front-of-house experience feel seamless
Composure under pressure; able to manage competing demands and high-stress situations with a calm, friendly demeanor
Confident using modern tools (Google Workspace, Slack, visitor management systems) and quick to learn new software
Genuine service mindset and roll-up-your-sleeves attitude — no task is beneath you if it helps the team
