Role Title: Backend Tester – Life Insurance

We are looking for a Backend Tester - Insurance to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and performance of backend systems supporting life insurance operations. You will work closely with business, development, and QA teams to validate APIs, databases, and system integrations across policy, claims, and underwriting processes, ensuring reliable and compliant digital services.

Experience

  • 3–7+ years in backend / API testing or QA
  • Experience in financial services or life insurance is an advantage
  • Exposure to web-based systems and system integration testing

Technical & Testing Skills

  • Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman / SoapUI / RestAssured)
  • Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and microservices
  • Good knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and regression testing
  • Experience in defect tracking tools (Jira, ALM, TestRail)

Domain & Tools

  • Understanding of life insurance processes (policy, claims, underwriting)
  • Awareness of data quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Git) is an advantage

Nice to Have

  • ISTQB certification
  • Experience in ETL or data warehouse testing
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks
