The Role

 
This leadership role requires a profound understanding of the China MedTech and diagnostics landscape, specifically focusing on driving business growth within the R&D function. You will be responsible for expanding Veeva’s market footprint by commercial execution for R&D-centric solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to build and scale a dedicated MedTech team from the ground up, collaborating with industry experts to define Veeva's success in the Chinese market.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive growth for Veeva’s MedTech R&D solutions and increase market share in China.
  • Provide R&D-specific expertise to capture business opportunities across the product development lifecycle.
  • Build a high-performing MedTech team and foster a community of R&D evangelists through industry thought leadership.
  • Develop localized messaging and marketing strategies to drive adoption of R&D applications for new and existing customers.
  • Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience as a solution provider or consultant to the MedTech industry, with a deep focus on R&D, especially for regulatory functions.
  • Proven track record in advising customers on the adoption of SaaS/Cloud solutions, specifically helping them navigate the transition to modern R&D technologies.
  • A results-oriented leader with a "founder’s mindset" to drive outcomes, build a team from scratch, and execute with high autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy across all functions, including Sales, Strategy, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Confident in presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders (C-level) at major MedTech and diagnostic companies.
  • High-level understanding of both R&D and Commercial business processes to provide holistic guidance on digital transformation.

  • Direct prior or current experience within regulatory at a MedTech company
  • Experience with content and data management technologies and coordinating business transformations in a consulting role
  • Proven track record of thought leadership through industry presentations, publications, or other mechanisms
  • Experience selling software and/or services to medical device and diagnostics organizations
