Role Objective
This role is part of the Programming Strategy & Insights team for the Hindi Movies Team. The incumbent will support content strategy and programming decisions for FTA Hindi Movie Channels by generating actionable insights from viewership data, consumer understanding, and competitive analysis. The role focuses on execution excellence, analytics-driven recommendations, and cross-functional collaboration to maximize channel performance.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage weekly FPCs for assigned FTA movie channels, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and adherence to programming guidelines and evolving processes.
Analyze viewership data, competitor performance, macro trends, and industry reports to develop consumer insights and support content selection decisions.
Develop programming plans that maximize audience engagement, leveraging the movie library effectively while aligning content ratings and title selection with target audiences.
Identify key opportunities and challenges in the programming slate and recommend actionable solutions to optimize viewership and channel performance.
Support FTA programming strategy through effective utilization of the movie library, aligning title selection, content mix, and scheduling with target audience preferences.
Track key business health metrics and performance indicators to monitor viewership trends and growth levers.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Creative Communications, PRS, Ad Sales, and Brand Solutions teams to support AOP-aligned outcomes.
Contribute to presentations, reviews, and performance decks for internal stakeholders and leadership forums.
Contribute to continuous process improvements in programming workflows, tools, and reporting to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
Skills & Attributes for Success
Strong analytical skills with 6-8 years of strong ability to interpret data and present insights clearly; Good understanding of consumer behavior and audience preferences
Passion for movies and content
Ability to work under strict timelines in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Understanding of BARC metrics, terminology, and software
Comfortable handling large datasets and recurring MIS
Strong communication and coordination skills
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and mid-to-senior stakeholders
Educational Background
Graduate/Postgraduate in Media, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or related fields (preferred)
