This role is located at Edwards AFB, CA.
Your duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Receives, stores, and issues tools, support equipment, consumables, HAZMAT, and other related items.
- Maintains records of tools issued to employees; takes periodic inventory and requisitions stock as needed; reports damaged, worn out, or missing equipment using computers to enter transactions, validate information and maintain database.
- Cleans, oils, and performs minor repairs on equipment; disposes of surplus or obsolete equipment in accordance with established procedure.
- Ensures that measuring devices are periodically calibrated.
- Will work alongside Northrop Grumman and U.S. Government personnel at Edwards AFB, CA.
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days- a-week, and 365 days a year.
- Use/hold/manipulate small tools and parts with hands. Simple grasping, power grasping and fine manipulation is required.
- Use vibrating tools and perform torquing operations in include hand tools & power equipment and climb ladders or stairs.
- Handle, manage, and dispose of various types of hazardous materials in accordance with local, state, and federal processes. Wearing proper PPE required when handling all hazardous materials.
- Follow established processes and procedures.
- Receiving tools, inspecting, verifying, inventory, cleaning, tracking for accuracy.
- Maintain records and provide traceability of materials.
- Data entry, and use of digital scanners for tool control & inventory.
Basic Qualifications:
- Tool Crib Attendant 2: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 2 years of additional education and/or experience in a tool crib and/or maintenance/manufacturing environment and/or warehouse experience and/or inventory experience and/or logistics experience and/or tool inventory control position.
- Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
- Must meet medical requirements and vaccinations for worldwide travel.
- Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport
- Must accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 90 days away from primary work location
- Must comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and immunizations that may include anthrax and smallpox.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an U.S. Government Secret Clearance
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
- Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working overhead.
- Must be able to stand/walk for 75% of the workday and at least 2 hours at a time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Valid U.S. passport
- Excellent knowledge of tools and their intended use, tool accountability, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and Safety programs.
- Intimate knowledge of TCMax® and/or similar tool control software systems.
- Prior aircraft flight line environment experience.
- Prior HAZMAT experience and relevant qualifications.
- Intimate knowledge of the workings of PMEL / TMDE / and calibrated tools and processes.
