Responsible for operating a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products, equipment or materials either inside or outside the company's premises. Works under supervision where decisions are clearly defined. Positions forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products or materials and transports load to designated area. Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids or lifting device.What will you do:
Ensure that the forklift is in good working condition by completing the checklist before operating the machine(FMX).
Report damages or faults to the Forklift to Warehouse Manager
Ensure correct stock is picked and loaded by checking quantity, quality, description, manufacturing date and best before date.
Count and record the number of pallets loaded
Ensure pallets at the pallet area are sorted by colour code and in a safe manner(5S)
Loads of finished goods, raw material and packaging.
Offloading of delivery trucks, checking paperwork vs stock on truck, use foods connect device to record material and batch numbers.
Clear understanding of FIFO, FEFO, binning and 5S.
Transfers finished goods to allocated space in warehouse
Moves product to correct allocation during change overs
Transfers products to bays and checks that they are allocated to correct bays
Removes damaged boxes and repacks pallet
Records damages in book
Removes damaged goods and empty pallets at the end of shift
Cleans Forklift
Checks production dates to ensure proper stock rotation
Ensures store area is neat and maximizes storage area.
Stacks finished goods in a safe manner to eliminate safety risks.
Identifies space for allocation of finished goods at times
Assists other Forklift Drivers in other areas as and when required.

Qualifications and Experience
Matric/ grade 12 (Mathematics and Physical Science) or a 3 years Tertiary Qualification (From NQF6)
Forklift driver License
