Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the set-up operation, adjustment, teardown, and clean-up of all equipment in the area to include stuffers and any other equipment used in the area. This person must work in a team completing a variety of tasks to include dumping buckets, hanging, and weighing in order to keep production lines running at maximum running efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Count, weight, measure, and record statistics of product efficiency.
Move up to 900 pounds of product on racks.
Push/slide sausage onto table.
Slide casings on sausage.
Tear down equipment at the end of shift
Keep work area clean.
May need to use SAP if transferred/rotated.
Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
Ability and willingness to operate a powered hand mule/pallet truck/walkie pallet truck.
Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
Perform any other work as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds or greater frequently.
Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
Ability and willingness to work in wet and cold temperatures below 35 degrees.
