The work: 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary Generative AI team, including Azure engineers, GenAI data scientists/engineers, and functional team members.
  • Design and implement custom GenAI solutions tailored to client data and mission needs within DoD IL5 Azure government cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with Integration Architects and Data Architects to ensure cohesive systems and data model integration.
  • Interface directly with client stakeholders and AFS leadership to articulate technical requirements, navigate security evaluations, drive on‑contract growth, and triage client feedback.
  • Shape the product roadmap and contribute to broader Data & AI strategy across overlapping DoD projects.
  • Present technical briefings to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including in‑person briefings at DC‑area client sites.
  • Support and mentor team members, foster career growth, and maintain open feedback channels.
  • Conduct rigorous LLM testing using industry benchmarks and custom evaluation methods, emphasizing performance and token efficiency.
  • Implement AI alignment systems including RLHF‑based models and AI guardrails.
  • Deploy GenAI tools using Azure services such as Web Apps, Function Apps, Key Vault, and Blob Storage.

Here is what you need:

  • US Citizen, no dual citizenship (Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance)
  • Hands‑on experience working in secure government cloud environments (IL5 or similar).
  • Strong Python skills for building, testing, and evaluating GenAI solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Ability to interface with stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Local to the DC metro area to support required in‑person briefings and meetings.

Preferred experience:

  • Active DoD Secret Security clearance
  • Proficiency with Azure services, including Web Apps, Function Apps, Key Vault, and Blob Storage.
  • Prior experience deploying GenAI tools in government cloud environments.
  • Proven leadership and people‑management experience across cross‑functional AI/engineering teams.
  • Experience shaping Data & AI strategy across multiple programs or project threads.
  • Familiarity with RLHF methods, LLM evaluation techniques, and AI guardrail implementation.
  • Experience driving product roadmaps and working directly with client leadership.

 

 

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:
$116,900—$243,100 USD
