GTM AI Engineer

Omnisend · Vilnius, Lithuania / Kaunas, Lithuania

Working at Omnisend is... kind of boring. Not the soul-crushing kind of boring — more like the “no drama, no chaos, just smart people doing great work” kind. The kind that lets you focus on what matters, without pointless meetings, micromanagement, or bureaucracy. We’re data-driven. We test, we iterate, we improve. Gut feelings don’t drive decisions — insights do. We trust each other. We’re transparent, give real feedback, and actually listen. No egos, no hand-holding — just a team of experienced professionals moving fast, adapting easily, and delivering impact. Omnisend is customer-funded and customer-driven. Our work is rooted in solving real problems that help ecommerce brands grow. No empty promises — we bring in results. And yes, we have fun. But the grown-up kind — workations, team gatherings, the occasional party. No forced fun, no awkward icebreakers. Just genuine moments with a team that actually enjoys working together.

We’re looking for a GTM AI Engineer to help our business teams move faster by building practical AI-powered systems, automations, and internal tools.

This role is roughly 75% focused on GTM and 25% focused on internal operations. Most of your work will support revenue-facing teams across marketing, growth, partnerships, SEO, and revenue operations. A smaller part of the role will support selected internal operations projects where AI and automation can reduce manual work, improve knowledge access, or make internal processes more scalable.

You do not need to be a traditional software engineer to succeed in this role. You might come from engineering, automation, RevOps, Marketing Ops, Growth, data, or be a strong AI-assisted builder using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, Replit, n8n, Supabase, or similar platforms.

What matters is proof: you have built working tools, automations, integrations, or internal apps that solved real problems and were used by other people. You understand what you build, why it works, and how to improve or fix it when needed. You already have shipped work you can show us: a GitHub/GitLab repo, deployed app, automation, internal tool, or portfolio project.

This is not a research role, and it is not about building impressive demos that nobody uses. This role is about building the technical layer that helps teams operate differently.

The goal is simple: Help teams create more impact without needing more manual work or more headcount.

What you’ll do @Omnisend

  • Build practical AI-powered tools, automations, and internal systems for GTM and selected internal operations teams.

  • Connect data across business tools, databases, APIs, spreadsheets, dashboards, communication platforms, and internal systems.

  • Turn messy business problems into working prototypes, then improve the ones that prove useful.

  • Create workflows that monitor signals, detect opportunities or risks, trigger actions, route work to humans, and track outcomes.

  • Partner with AI Ops and business stakeholders to define requirements, scope MVPs, test outputs, and measure impact.

  • Maintain and improve existing AI tools so they remain reliable, secure, documented, and actually used.

  • We expect that you’ll bring

  • Technical/engineering experience or strong, proven AI-assisted building experience.

  • Strong AI fluency: you know how to use LLMs, agents, prompts, tool calls, APIs, structured outputs, retrieval, and AI coding tools in real workflows.

  • Experience working with databases, data pipelines, webhooks, background jobs, third-party tools, or the ability to learn and build with them quickly using AI-assisted development.

  • Ability to build fast without building messily: you can prototype quickly, but still care about reliability, maintainability, security, documentation, and handoff.

  • Strong product/business judgment: you can understand what a business team is trying to achieve and build the simplest useful system, not the most complicated one.

  • Comfort working with non-technical stakeholders and translating vague requests into clear technical solutions.

  • Practical experience with tools such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL/Supabase, n8n, Make, Docker, Git, GCP, Vercel, APIs, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, Lovable, Replit, or similar is a strong advantage.

You might not be a good fit if...

  • You want a pure ML research role.

  • You only want to work on polished customer-facing product features.

  • You prefer long technical specs before starting anything.

  • You build complex systems when a simple workflow would solve the problem.

  • What we offer in return

  • Gross salary around 4100 EUR/month based on experience

  • Quarterly salary reviews

  • Flexible working hours and remote work possibilities

  • An unlimited learning budget for self-improvement complying with the best interest of Omnisend

  • Working methods and best practices inspired by the best tech companies in Silicon Valley

  • Senior colleagues (over 70%) enable us to have a high-performing, productive environment where your growth will accelerate

  • Private health insurance

  • Unlimited access to psychotherapy

  • Workstation budget

  • Personalized work anniversary gifts, such as house cleaning, spa treatments, international flights, etc.

  • Attractive workations and team-led team-building events

  • AI Engineering pay context
