AI Architect (AI for Security)

Jobgether · Switzerland

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Architect (AI for Security) based in Switzerland.

In this role, you will operate at the intersection of advanced AI systems and offensive cybersecurity, shaping how LLM-powered security pipelines are designed, evaluated, and improved in a highly technical, regulated environment. You will act as a senior domain expert, working directly with experienced security engineering teams to critically assess and evolve an existing AI-driven offensive security platform. The role combines hands-on architectural design, deep technical challenge, and strategic advisory work with C-level security stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, improving exploit automation workflows, and redefining how AI agents are used across recon, exploitation, and detection loops. This is a highly specialized position where your expertise in both offensive security and AI systems will directly influence production-grade security capabilities. The environment is collaborative, technically rigorous, and focused on delivering measurable improvements in real-world security performance.

Accountabilities

  • Participate in high-level technical sessions with security engineers to evaluate and challenge an existing AI-driven offensive security pipeline.
  • Design and refine LLM-powered exploitation agents, including planning logic, tool use, sandbox orchestration, and execution safety.
  • Optimize the performance and cost-efficiency of AI security workflows by benchmarking and comparing local and frontier models.
  • Architect improvements to runtime anomaly detection systems, focusing on signal extraction, attack pattern identification, and actionable alerting.
  • Define and implement automated response mechanisms for detected threats, including containment and remediation workflows.
  • Build proof-of-concept solutions to validate architectural approaches and demonstrate measurable security improvements.
  • Translate technical findings into structured recommendations, architecture roadmaps, and executive-ready presentations.
  • Ensure all AI and data workflows comply with strict in-perimeter and regulated-environment constraints.
  • Requirements

    • Strong hands-on background in offensive security, including vulnerability research, penetration testing, and exploit development.
    • Proven experience building or operating LLM-powered security automation systems or agentic AI pipelines.
    • Deep understanding of exploit chaining, CVE analysis, and real-world threat intelligence workflows.
    • Experience working with local and self-hosted LLMs, including performance tuning, quantization, and infrastructure trade-offs.
    • Solid understanding of runtime security detection, anomaly detection, and incident response systems.
    • Proficiency with cloud environments (AWS preferred), including secure sandboxing and isolated execution environments.
    • Strong programming skills (Python and shell scripting) with the ability to build production-ready prototypes.
    • Experience in client-facing or consulting environments, with the ability to communicate complex systems to senior stakeholders.
    • Ability to operate independently as a domain expert in cross-functional, high-trust engagements.
    • Strong analytical mindset with a balance of offensive security depth and AI systems understanding.
    • Bonus: experience in regulated industries (e.g., gaming, fintech) with strict compliance constraints.
    • Benefits

      • Competitive compensation aligned with senior AI security architecture roles.
      • Flexible, remote-first working model with engagement across the UK and broader EMEA region.
      • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI-for-security systems used in real offensive security pipelines.
      • High-impact advisory role with direct exposure to senior security leadership (CISO-level).
      • Engagement in technically advanced environments combining AI agents, exploit automation, and runtime defense.
      • Flexible allocation structure (0.25–0.5 FTE initially, with potential for extension and scaling).
      • Opportunity to shape next-generation AI-driven security architectures in a highly specialized domain.
      • Collaboration with top-tier AI and security experts in a research-driven environment.
