Functional Business Analyst (Core Banking)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering workshops with business and IT stakeholders across core banking domains such as deposits, lending, payments, and treasury.
• Analyze, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
• Produce key project artefacts including BRDs, FDDs, process flows, and use cases.
• Support functional configuration, SIT, UAT, and defect resolution activities.
• Participate in data migration, ensuring data mapping, validation, and reconciliation requirements are met.
• Act as the primary liaison between business users and project teams, managing stakeholder expectations and facilitating sign-offs.
• Support project governance, change management, training, and user readiness activities.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in core banking implementation or transformation projects.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Lead Functional BA or Functional Lead role.
• Strong knowledge of core banking domains including deposits, lending, payments, or transaction banking.
• Experience delivering at least one end-to-end core banking implementation.
• Strong stakeholder management, business analysis, and documentation skills.
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
