Purpose of the role
To enable effective data governance, risk management, and compliance within the bank, acting as a liaison between business units and the Data & Records Management (DRM) function, translating business needs into actionable strategies and ensuring efficient implementation of DRM.

Step into the role of Data and Records Governance - Data Analyst AVP at Barclays, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future. In this pivotal role you will manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators. You will take ownership of your work, ensuring it aligns with the relevant rules & regulations, and codes of conduct.
You will support the implementation and governance of Data & Records Management practices across the business by partnering with stakeholders to improve data quality, ensure compliance, and embed effective data governance frameworks. Act as a liaison between business units and DRM teams to drive data-related risk management, operational effectiveness, and regulatory adherence.

Partner with business stakeholders to implement and embed data governance and records management frameworks aligned to business requirements.
Monitor data quality and records management metrics, identify gaps, and recommend improvement opportunities.
Support records classification, retention, retrieval, and disposal activities in line with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Drive data governance initiatives by influencing decision-making, strengthening controls, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
Collaborate across teams to analyse data, resolve governance-related issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
