This is a high-impact analytics role focused on transforming complex transportation and claims-related data into clear, actionable insights that drive operational efficiency and customer value. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and customer engagement, helping define how data is structured, interpreted, and used across the organization. The role involves deep collaboration with engineering, product, and operations teams to improve data models, reporting systems, and decision-making frameworks. You will also work directly with clients, translating technical analysis into meaningful recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Operating in a fast-moving, startup environment, you will frequently solve ambiguous, undefined problems where analytical creativity is essential. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on technical work with strategic thinking and customer interaction, while shaping the future of data-driven claims and transport systems.
Accountabilities:
- Work hands-on with modern data stacks including Python (Pandas), SQL, Postgres/dbt, Looker, and Excel to build, analyze, and maintain scalable data workflows.
- Lead customer-facing analytical discussions, translating complex datasets into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain reporting systems, ETL processes, and data models to support evolving customer and business needs.
- Tackle ambiguous, open-ended analytical problems, helping define the right questions and solutions where none are pre-defined.
- Produce high-quality written documentation, specifications, and analytical outputs to communicate findings clearly across teams.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to improve data infrastructure and decision-making frameworks.
- Influence analytical culture and best practices within a fast-growing, evolving technical organization.
- 6–8 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a similar individual contributor role using modern programming and analytics tools.
- Strong proficiency in Python (especially Pandas), SQL, and experience working with dbt/Postgres-based data systems.
- Proven experience building ETL pipelines, dashboards, and data visualizations that support business and customer decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analytical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to define requirements, prioritize needs, and navigate ambiguity effectively.
- Experience delivering high-quality analytics work at a fast cadence in a dynamic or startup environment.
- Curiosity about complex systems (such as claims or transportation workflows) and a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
