This role is centered on managing homeowner property claims from initial notice through final resolution, ensuring every case is handled with accuracy, urgency, and a strong customer-first mindset. You will investigate property damage, interpret policy coverage, and determine liability while maintaining clear communication with policyholders, agents, and vendors. The position requires a balance of technical claims expertise and empathetic customer engagement in often high-pressure situations. You will complete detailed estimates, leverage modern claims technology, and ensure documentation is accurate and compliant. Operating in a fast-paced, remote environment, you will play a key role in delivering fair and efficient claim outcomes. Accountabilities:

Manage the full lifecycle of property claims, from first notice of loss through settlement and closure, ensuring timely, fair, and accurate resolution. Conduct detailed investigations, assess coverage, determine liability, and identify subrogation or fraud indicators where applicable. Prepare and update property damage estimates using industry-standard tools while maintaining precise file documentation, reserves, and compliance requirements.

  • Handle end-to-end homeowner property claims, including supplements and complex files
  • Conduct coverage analysis, liability determination, and claim investigations
  • Create accurate estimates using platforms such as Cotality or equivalent tools
  • Perform virtual, field, or third-party inspections depending on claim needs
  • Maintain complete documentation, including reports, correspondence, and settlement records
  • Communicate regularly with insureds, agents, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Negotiate fair settlements with professionalism and clarity
  • Support vendor coordination and internal collaboration with SIU, legal, underwriting, and subrogation teams
  • Requirements

    Candidates should bring extensive property claims experience with a strong understanding of estimating, policy interpretation, and customer service. You must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while managing multiple claims simultaneously. Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential, along with adaptability in a fast-changing claims environment.

    • 8+ years of property claims adjusting experience in insurance or related customer service roles
    • Experience writing estimates using Cotality, Xactimate, or similar platforms
    • Ability to work from inspection data, including field reports and virtual assessments
    • Active adjuster license(s) or eligibility to obtain required state licenses
    • Strong knowledge of property claims processes, coverage, and liability determination
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organization, multitasking, and time management abilities
    • Proficiency with remote tools and digital claims platforms
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a home-based environment
    • Comfort working during CAT events or high-volume claim periods
