You will help design and scale backend systems that unify large volumes of fragmented data into actionable, real-time insights. The position sits at the intersection of infrastructure, data engineering, and product development, with a strong focus on building reliable and scalable APIs and services. You will contribute to core systems that support AI capabilities, observability, and customer-facing features used at scale. Working in a collaborative, agile environment, you will partner with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges and improve system performance. This is a high-impact role where engineering decisions directly influence product quality, scalability, and user experience.
Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, data models, and infrastructure supporting core platform functionality.
- Write clean, efficient, testable code while ensuring high performance, reliability, and system scalability.
- Develop and implement testing, validation procedures, and documentation to ensure software quality and maintainability.
- Support and enhance internal systems, infrastructure, and AI/ML-related capabilities to meet product and customer needs.
- Design elegant and efficient technical solutions with a strong focus on observability, SLA adherence, and system performance.
- Manage relational and non-relational data storage solutions, ensuring efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
- Collaborate within an agile development environment and contribute to continuous improvement across the SDLC.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus at least 2 years of software engineering experience.
- Proven experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software systems and backend features.
- Strong ability to debug, optimize, and enhance existing systems for performance and reliability improvements.
- Experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Amazon Web Services, and modern backend architectures.
- Familiarity with data technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, and similar tools.
- Understanding of AI/ML-driven systems or generative AI integrations is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, and system scalability principles.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $130,000 to $190,000 plus meaningful equity opportunities
